This piece STEM(med) from one major question: What if princesses solved their own problems? The object of this assignment was to explore traditional advertising and find new ways to discuss commonly held social problems. The issue of women in STEM fields has recently been a hot button topic, but not addressed within the classic symbolism entrenched in young girls' culture.
Using the cultural references of three commonly known princesses, each poster explores the possibility of the princesses as their own heroes in their story, from Snow White using her knowledge of chemistry to make her own antidote for the poison apple, to Cinderella coding her own app to find her shoe.
